Founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah have a positive attitude towards women. After the formation of Pakistan, women’s groups and feminist organizations started to form that worked to eliminate social injustices against women in Pakistan by prominent leaders like Fatima Jinnah.
Today Pakistani women are enjoying a better status than most Muslim and Middle Eastern women. However, In the Pakistani society women require some more necessary freedom so that they can take part in the development of country. Time changes its necessary to work both men and women as well.
Pakistan is an Islamic country and Islam gives great respect to a women. According to Islam a mother has heaven beneath his feet’s. Islam also imposes great stress on the education of women. Government trying his best to provide better education to all Pakistani women’s as the matter of fact many areas in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtonkawah where people still against the education of women.
The time of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was great liberal attitudes towards women. At that time all government services were opened to women including the district management group and the Foreign Service while these areas were denied earlier for them. About 10 percent of the seats in the National Assembly and 5 percent in the provincial assemblies were reserved for women.
Shalwar kameez is principal garment worn by Pakistani women and is the national dress and also wear in most of the parts of the country. Gharara’s and lehenga’s were very common earlier, but now they are worn mostly at special occasion like weddings. As Pakistan is an Islamic country so the women wear the hijab or burqa in public although the degree to which they chose to cover varies. Many Pakistani women dupatta or chadar instead of Hijab.
